Tasty
These potatoes were really good! I broke down the recipe for just two people and used parachment paper as others had said in their review. No stick and very easy to make.
Easy Dinner
I made these potatoes for dinner tonight and my husband loved them! I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil and I put foil down over the pan, but the potatoes still stuck a little bit, but I will definitely be making them again!
Parchment Paper
I have now made this recipe twice. First time I used red new potatoes on a commercial grade baking sheet. What a pain! I had to turn them about every 10 minutes; they still stuck and did not brown well.
This time, I used about 2.5 lbs of YukonGold. I followed the advice of previous reviewers and used parchment paper, as well as substituted olive oil for vegetable oil. Perfect! Although I did periodically check them, they never stuck and caramelized beautifully! (NO TURNING!)
However, my third attempt will be to use 1/2 packet of Ranch as I found the flavor to be a tad salty. I will substitute some fresh herbs and experiment. Roasting really concentrates flavors, a full packet of ranch dressing is a bit much.
All in all, this is a great recipe. Make it your own!
very easy and quick
these are easy and quick to make..I've been trying to think of different quick things to make for supper during football season...and these are perfect!!!
"Best potatoes I ever had"
We tried these for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago and they were a big hit! My 19-year son said these were the best potatoes he ever had!
great product
We fixed the ranch potatoes for dinner last night... except i used the spicy ranch instead of the original.... they were great! . They did stick alittle not much ...but instead of cooking them in the oven we put them on the grill and they turned out great...
SO GREAT!!
I've read other reviews and people had trouble with the potatoes sticking to the pan. I lowered the temp to 350 and cooked them longer (45-55 min) and they didn't stick at all! I sprayed the sheet with cooking spray first, that probably helped too! These were the best potatoes, quick to fix too. We'll be having them for dinner A LOT :)
So Yummy!!!! Loved by all
I have been making these forever, my grandmother used this recipe a while back, and passed it down to all of us to use. The secret to these is to keep flipping the potatoes. So all of you who keep burning them, flip them half way through. As well we used these a couple of years ago for a Superbowl party we had, we added a little cheese sauce and added bacon bits, worked great a real crowd pleaser.
Simply Awesome!
This was a simple and great tasting recipe. I followed the directions, but to avoid any sticking, I placed the potatoes on parchment paper and flipped them around every 10 mins. They turned out great!
Great company potatoes
I use Reynolds aluminum non-stick foil & spray w/ Pam cooking spray ( just in case). They will not stick, but, be sure to flip them over 1/2 way through cooking time.
