Side or Main Salad.
This would be a good main salad for me or a side that would go with just about anything. love pea salads and the addition of bacon gives it a wonderful crunch. Can't wait to serve it at my next get together of my girl friends.

Great Summer Dish!
This was very easy and quick to prepare. I put cashews in a separate dish so everyone could add their own. I doubled this so we would have leftovers and the second day I added rotisserie chicken from the deli taken off bone and torn in pieces. Was a huge hit!

Been making this for decades
My mother made this before me and I am an old woman. I remember going to a Christmas Party pot luck and someone brought in all the ingredients they just picked up from the grocery store because they forgot about it and made it in a giant bowl. Nothing was left. they didn't put in celery. Said they never had done before.
I can understand not putting in the onion green pepper and mushrooms (my mother puts that in everything. But the celery....it's the huge crunch behind the crunch. :)

Very flavorful!
I made this last night as a side dish and wow! It was so easy to put together and it was bursting with flavor. I had to omit the bacon because my daughter is vegetarian, but even without it this salad was delicious. I'll be making this often.

I love this pea salad. My question is this, the recipe on this site has Dijon mustard, which the original recipe did not have. Does the Deion mustard improve the recipe? I saw one reviewer that did not like it.

Very yummy!
I used fresh from the garden peas for this recipe and what a great tasting salad! The hidden valley dressing just made it that much better with just enough tang and it was pleasantly crunchy as well. Perfect!

My Mom Likes This....
My Mom loves it when I make this. I honestly am not a fan (peas!), but everyone else seems to enjoy it. I substitute small cubes of cheddar for the cashews, though.
