Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING and easy!!!! Everyone seems to complain about them sticking to the pan, but I learned that if you flip the skin downward facing the pan they do not stick nearly as bad! These go with most anything and it seems like the darker I get them (crunchy) the more everyone enjoys them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Parchment Paper I have now made this recipe twice. First time I used red new potatoes on a commercial grade baking sheet. What a pain! I had to turn them about every 10 minutes; they still stuck and did not brown well. This time, I used about 2.5 lbs of YukonGold. I followed the advice of previous reviewers and used parchment paper, as well as substituted olive oil for vegetable oil. Perfect! Although I did periodically check them, they never stuck and caramelized beautifully! (NO TURNING!) However, my third attempt will be to use 1/2 packet of Ranch as I found the flavor to be a tad salty. I will substitute some fresh herbs and experiment. Roasting really concentrates flavors, a full packet of ranch dressing is a bit much. All in all, this is a great recipe. Make it your own!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite recipe This is by far my favorite recipe that involves Ranch. My son loves it and he is so picky with any type of vegetable or starch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lower Calories My girlfriend before moving away used to make this with russet potatoes for her family (15yr ago, so before the fancier potatoes came out to mass production). Instead of oiling them she would spray the potato wedges with a cooking spray, to save calories. They were wonderful. I'd never had anything like them before. Even my Husband who thought he hated Ranch Dressing (anything dairy based basically except for butter and ice cream), fell in love with these and since he'd been playing with the kids and her husband he never saw what she was sprinkling on top of them. She didn't use a baggie, as she was disabled and just stirred them around in a sheet pan to make sure they were coated well. Didn't even want to use a condiment with them. I think for the 1st time in my Husband's life he didn't salt something before trying it. I still can remember how crispy they were on the outside and tender on the inside. Today was the 1st time I'd ever seen a 16ozs. Canister of the mix and I bought it and will be using it tomorrow night when I make these, even if it is just for me and a couple to my Service/Seizure Canine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! We love this but we leave the potatoes whole then put a lil olive oil on and bake them a lil while 'til they are soft enough to smash flat with a potato smasher. Then sprinkle with the Hidden Valley ranch packet on both sides until potatoes are fully done. Sooooo yummmy!
