Sweet and Spicy Vegan Ranch Tofu

Here’s a vegan tofu recipe that delivers the heat you love and the sweet you crave. This sweet and spicy ranch tofu is as fun to cook as it is to eat, and it’s made with zesty Hidden Valley® Plant Powered Spicy Ranch to kick up the flavor in every bite.

    To prep the tofu, place the block between paper towels and sandwich in between two plates to dry it out.  Leave for at least 15 minutes.

    Stir the spicy plant powered ranch and agave syrup together and set aside. When tofu is ready, cut it into 1-inch bites.

    Gently coat the tofu pieces in the cornstarch. Preheat a large nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat and add the oil. When shimmering, carefully add the tofu pieces and cook, about two minutes per side, until crisp and golden.

    Remove the pan from the heat and let it rest for about 2-3 minutes, to slightly cool down. Add the sauce to the pan and gently toss until the tofu pieces are evenly coated.  Garnish with sliced scallions and serve immediately.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good flavor This is an easy way to up the protein in a meatless meal, and it is pretty flavorful, too. However, the sauce felt a bit too oily, so I would probably lessen the oil next time.
