    Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

    While the pasta is cooking, heat the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to foam, then whisk in flour until smooth and cook 2 to 3 minutes. Whisk in the milk and seasoning mix and cook, stirring, until thickened, about 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat, stir in the cheese until melted, then add the cooked pasta, mixing thoroughly. Serve hot.

I only eat homemade mac n cheese never boxed and I am quite picky about it and I honestly believed adding anything would be dancing with the devil and sure to destroy homemade mac n cheese perfection. But joyously to my surprise it was yummy and refreshing to have that little bit of tangyness. I wont be making it this way all the time but I will definitely be making it this way the next time I make country fried steak and gravy and caramelized baby carrots i believe the tangyness will be the perfect addition! It is definitely worth making and trying because I am actually craving it now! Yum!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ranch Mac and Cheese This was a really good recipe especially if you are feeding toddlers. I have used a soft chedder block and cut it into cubes. The soft cheese tends to melt faster and tends to be creamier than shredded chedder cheese. I've done it both ways and prefer the first method better, however, you can try for yourself to see which your family prefers.
