milk 1 cup
shredded cheddar cheese 1 cup
paprika or chopped green onion to garnish, optional
dippers: apples or pears; your favorite vegetables; thick, Pennsylvania-style pretzels; toasted garlic bread

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, then sprinkle in flour and stir for 2 minutes. Whisk milk into flour mixture, stirring constantly until it thickens and begins to boil, then lower heat and stir in dressing and cheese until smooth.

Pour into a fondue pot and garnish with paprika or green onions, if desired. Serve immediately with dippers.

Some suggestions maybe - try it with Gruyère cheese, Swiss cheese, 1 clove garlic minced, minced onion. Dippers of cubes of roasted potatoes, think meatballs (beef, chicken, veal), roasted Brussels sprouts, try using beef jerky or crispy bacon slices, steamed lobster or crab.

I just prefer fondue with wine in it and the flavors that go along with it. Also it looks nothing like the picture! I knew it wouldn't, since there's no way it could be that brightly colored and smooth when there should be flecks from the ranch in it. Just wanted to point that out, though.
