Swiss cheese, shredded ⅔ cup (2½ ounces)

finely chopped sweet gherkin or dill pickles ¼ cup

Dice ham to make about 2⅓ cups; combine with cheese, dressing, and pickles in a medium bowl.

Cut a thin slice off the top of each roll and scoop out center to within ¼-inch from edges, forming a bowl. Stuff ham salad gently into bread bowls and serve.
