1 12–14 pound turkey, giblets and neck removed, rinsed well and patted dry
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a small bowl, mix the butter together with one of the packets of seasoning mix until well blended.
Carefully separate the breast skin from the breast by moving your hand underneath the skin. Spread the butter mixture evenly under the skin and sprinkle the remaining packet of seasoning mix all over the turkey.
Roast the turkey covered for 3 hours, then uncover and cook for another 30 minutes, or until juices run clear and an internal temperature of 165°F is reached. Let rest at least 20 to 30 minutes before carving.
For safe meat preparation, reference the USDA website.
For dips, make and enjoy your dip creation. Then, refrigerate within 2 hours or discard.

Awesome turkeyI decided to try this using one of those turkey bags because I was afraid it wouldn't be moist enough. It was perfect! I will say the ranch doesn't get all the way through the meat, but I don't think any rub or marinade really does. Either way, it was delicious and the skin was soooo delicious after crisped up!

Thanksgiving Miracle!I have made the Hidden Valley Holiday Turkey for Thanksgiving the past six years! It is such a simple recipe but so full of flavor. Aside from cleaning and cooking the turkey, it takes 5 minutes to prepare. Everyone really enjoys it and I believe that if you gave it a try your family would enjoy it too!
