  • Step 1
    Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet set over medium heat. Add the onions and cook, stirring often, until beginning to caramelize, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Step 2
    While the onions are cooking, place the chicken and Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Seasoning & Salad Dressing Mix Shaker into a Glad® zipper bag. Seal and shake to coat the chicken.
  • Step 3
    Push onions to the side of the pan and add the chicken. Cook the chicken until browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Add in the asparagus and the chicken broth, cover the pan, and cook until the asparagus has softened slightly, another 5 minutes. Serve immediately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was looking for a recipe for asparagus and came across this one. A simple recipe that is tasty--what more could a person ask for? I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts and minced onion, but otherwise, followed the recipe. This is definitely a keeper and a repeat.
