Slow Cooker Southern Loaded Cheddar Ranch Grits
Take your next meal to the next level with our take on creamy, cheesy grits. They’re slow-cooked to perfection with gooey cheddar, fresh green onions and a hit of savory Ranch flavor.

low-sodium chicken broth or water

cream

shredded cheddar cheese, divided

butter, plus more for greasing

Butter the bottom and sides of a slow cooker bowl. Add the grits to the slow cooker.

Mix together the chicken broth or water, cream, Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Topping & Dressing, 2 cups cheese, and salt and pepper to taste. Pour into the slow cooker and mix with the grits.

Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours, stopping to stir after 2 hours and then again each hour after, until grits are tender. Stir in the butter and green onions and mix until incorporated

Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. Serve warm.
Ingredient Tips:
Grits: Use stone-ground grits for the best texture and flavor. Instant grits are quicker but tend to be less creamy and flavorful. Rinse the grits before cooking to remove any impurities and ensure smoother results.
