Easy Homemade Chicken Ramen

2½ cups chicken broth
1 pack ramen noodles (omit the packet)
1 teaspoon butter
1 cup shredded chicken
½ scallion, green part only, thinly sliced
optional add-ins: ground turkey or beef, 1 egg (it will poach in the hot broth), spinach, corn, peas, broccoli, mushrooms, bean sprouts, mint, cilantro, basil, sesame seeds, seaweed or furikake seasoning
Bring the chicken broth to boil in a small saucepan. Add the noodles and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in the ranch seasoning and continue to cook for another 30 seconds.
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the butter until incorporated. Stir in the chicken and transfer to serving bowls. Top with scallions and serve immediately.
