Sweet and Spicy Vegan Ranch Tofu

extra-firm tofu

cornstarch
4 tablespoons
½ cup
agave syrup
1 tablespoon
olive oil
3 tablespoons
chopped scallions, for garnish

To prep the tofu, place the block between paper towels and sandwich in between two plates to dry it out. Leave for at least 15 minutes.

Stir the spicy plant powered ranch and agave syrup together and set aside. When tofu is ready, cut it into 1-inch bites.

Gently coat the tofu pieces in the cornstarch. Preheat a large nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat and add the oil. When shimmering, carefully add the tofu pieces and cook, about two minutes per side, until crisp and golden.

Remove the pan from the heat and let it rest for about 2-3 minutes, to slightly cool down. Add the sauce to the pan and gently toss until the tofu pieces are evenly coated. Garnish with sliced scallions and serve immediately.
